This weekend, Miami Beach came alive in a wave of color, music, and unity as our community gathered for the annual Pride Parade. A special thank you to Pride Parade Chair Bill Warren for his outstanding leadership in making this year’s event such an incredible success. We are also proud to share that this was our most successful Pride fundraiser yet—a true testament to the strength, generosity, and spirit of our community. But this year, Pride carried an even deeper meaning.

Volunteers from the Miami Beach Democratic Club partnered with Clean Miami Beach for a neighborhood clean up, removing more than 70 pounds of trash from our community. Thank you to Clean Miami Beach Founder Sophie Ringel, our dedicated volunteers, and Board Member Linda Kolko for hosting a celebratory happy hour afterward.

Members of the Miami Beach Democratic Club gathered on March 2nd to elect the 2026–2028 Board, hear from guest speakers Jose Javier Rodriguez and Dr. Belinda Leon, and launch new organizing campaigns.

The Constitution is clear: the power to declare war rests with Congress. Any military action taken without congressional authorization undermines the checks and balances that protect our democracy. Regardless of who occupies the White House or which regime is involved abroad, decisions that put lives at risk and commit our nation to conflict must be subject to congressional approval. Our democracy depends on accountability, transparency, and respect for the Constitution.

With so much going on in the world right now, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and hopeless. We must channel our anger and fear into ACTION. Here are some actionable steps you can take to do your part.
