On Thursday, June 18, the Miami Beach Democratic Club proudly hosted its Third Annual Democratic Primary Forum at the Hotel Marseilles in Miami Beach. More than 140 attendees gathered for an evening of civic engagement, candidate conversations, and Democratic unity as voters from across Miami-Dade County came together to hear directly from candidates seeking public office.

The forum was co-hosted by the Greater Aventura Democratic Club, the Miami-Dade Young Democrats, and the Miami-Dade Democratic Party, reflecting a growing commitment among Democratic organizations to work together, engage voters, and strengthen our party throughout Miami-Dade County.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet candidates before the program began, speak with fellow Democrats, and learn more about the issues that will shape Florida's future. The evening was moderated by longtime Spanish-language television host Alfonso de Anda, who guided thoughtful discussions among the candidates and ensured voters had the opportunity to hear their positions on a variety of important issues.

Her remarks emphasized hope, inclusion, and the importance of Democratic engagement.

Building an Informed Electorate

Primary elections often receive less attention than general elections, yet they play a critical role in determining who will appear on the November ballot. The Miami Beach Democratic Club believes voters deserve opportunities to hear directly from candidates, compare their ideas, and make informed decisions before casting their ballots.

The success of this year's forum demonstrates that voters are eager to engage in the democratic process and learn more about the candidates seeking to represent them. With more than 140 attendees, strong candidate participation, and collaboration among Democratic organizations, the event was a powerful reminder that Democrats are strongest when we work together.

The Miami Beach Democratic Club extends its sincere gratitude to our co-host organizations, moderator Alfonso de Anda, all participating candidates, our volunteers, sponsors, and every attendee who helped make this event possible.

As the August 18 Democratic Primary approaches, we encourage all voters to make a plan to vote, verify their voter registration, renew their Vote-by-Mail request if needed, and stay engaged in the future of our community. Check out our voter guide for election updates.

Together, we can build a stronger Miami-Dade County, a stronger Florida, and a stronger Democratic Party.
