Giving Back at Camillus House

We believe that community service is part of being a Democrat—just as we work to elect people who will make our city, state, and country a better place to live for everyone, we also do our part to keep our parks and beaches clean and to give back to those in need.

That's why we regularly organize community service days to go along with our voter registration efforts, issues forums, and social events. This past Sunday, Miami Beach Democratic Club members and supporters helped out at Camillus House by serving meals to hundreds of homeless and struggling Miamians. Leaders from the Miami-Dade Young Democrats and the Downtown Dems also stopped by to lend a hand.

We want to say a big THANK YOU to Camillus House for all that they do, to Amanda Knapp for organizing this awesome event, and for the team of volunteers who turned out to make it a success!

We're planning more events like this one throughout the rest of the year, so keep an eye on our events and our Facebook page to keep up with everything we've got going on. We hope to see you soon!
