How would you like to play a role in shaping the future of the Miami Beach Democratic Club?

The Miami Beach Democratic Club holds Board of Directors elections each March, and this year we have several seats up for re-election, including Vice President, Secretary, Parliamentarian and Board of Directors Seats #1 and #3. Before our elections and per our bylaws (Article IX, Section 2), a Nominating Committee consisting of five paid members will present at least one candidate for each elective office at our February monthly meeting.

This is a great opportunity to become more engaged in your democratic club and the Board of Directors (BOD) election process. The Nominating Committee will work to engage the members who are interested in running for the BOD, spend some time meeting with those prospective candidates and then present them to our members in February. It is a critical role in our electoral process and one that we are asking YOU to help out with if you are interested.

In order to be considered for the Nominating Committee, you must be a dues paying member of the Miami Beach Democratic Club and send an email to [email protected] no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22nd so that the BOD has sufficient time to review the names that have been submitted. The Nominating Committee members will be announced at our January General Membership Meeting being held on Monday, January 25th at 7:00 p.m.
