During the past few General Membership Meetings, the Club’s leadership has brought to the attention of members that there will be an election for most of the Club’s Board positions during the March 11, 2024 General Membership meeting.

The recent deadly shootings in Miami Beach make it clear - more guns on the street means more danger, more shootings, and more death in Florida. The Miami Beach Democratic Club Board of Directors strongly opposes Senate Bill 150 / House Bill 543 - the "More Guns Everywhere" AKA "Permitless carry" bill. This bill would absolutely put more guns on the street. We demand that our elected representatives Senator Ileana Garcia and Representative Fabian Basabe oppose this dangerous and deeply unpopular bill.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the 2022 Run-Off election! Miami Beach has elected our endorsed candidate Laura Dominguez to serve on our City Commission, with over 60% of the vote. She is an outstanding community leader and Democrat who will also be an outstanding Commissioner.
